The community-policing relationship has been significantly damaged in some cities, as incidents of Black male deaths have occurred during altercations with law enforcement. This has been an emotionally charged series of events with racial implications and generated fear in both those charged with protecting and serving…and those seeking to be protected and served. No one is winning in this situation.
